BC RCIP 2026: The Complete List of Priority Occupations for Rural PR

Executive Summary: BC RCIP Jobs 2026
The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) offers a direct pathway to Permanent Residence for foreign workers willing to settle in smaller Canadian communities. The three participating regions in British Columbia have just released their target occupations for 2026.
- Participating BC Regions: North Okanagan-Shuswap, Peace Liard, and West Kootenay.
- The Trend: All three regions have added Business, Finance, and Administration to their priority sectors for 2026.
- Strict Rules Apply: Each region has unique minimum wage thresholds and specific job title exclusions (such as banning fast-food roles in West Kootenay).
RCIP: These are the Occupations British Columbia Regions are Prioritizing for PR
If the towering CRS scores of the federal Express Entry system or the fierce competition of the standard BC PNP seem out of reach, the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is your strongest alternative. By securing a job offer from a designated employer in one of Canada's participating rural communities, you can unlock a localized, highly supported pathway to Permanent Residence.
In 2026, three distinct regions in British Columbia are participating. Each has carefully curated a list of exactly 25 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes they desperately need to fill. Here is the complete breakdown.
